Youth Ministry Certification School at Gettysburg Seminary
Do you know an adult who has a passion for youth ministry but feels unprepared, not sure of what to do, or who would like some education and training to minister more completely with youth and their families?
If so, please consider the Youth Ministry Certification School at Gettysburg Seminary.
This 15-day crash course in youth and family ministry includes four days of adventure education emphasizing small groups, community development and relational youth ministry. The 11 days of classroom work includes Biblical and theological training, cultural analysis, long-range planning, family ministry, Christian Education and lots of how-to strategies.
This past year, three Metro DC Synod Youth Directors were members of the class (Stephen Zeller at St. Luke, Silver Spring; Terri Fleck at Holy Trinity, Falls Church; Laura Hessler at Trinity, North Bethesda); there have been others in previous years.
Please take a look at the brochure and prayerfully consider who you might ‘invite’ to join this year’s class. Sometimes it just takes someone saying, “Hey, I think you should consider this.”
