Shekinah 2010 Information

Shekinah 2010, Metro DC Synod’s Youth Ministry weekend for 7th and 8th grade youth will be held March 19-21, 2010 at the 4H Center in Front Royal, VA.

The theme this year is “Gear Up Game On” using Ephesians 6:10-18, we will look at what we need and how we go about preparing ourselves to live a faithful and a faith-filled life.

We have included a customizable flyer that you can use to help advertise the event with your youth (and their parents), allowing you to fill in the information as it pertains to your congregation and youth.

Important things to keep in mind:

• Registration deadline is February 15
• All adults attending must have a Background Check on file with the synod office. If you have adults attending for the first time, do not wait until March to start this process!! The Authorization Form is included in the adult registration; the cost is $40.
• If there is someone else who should be getting this email, please forward it to them, cc’ing Tony Kerlavage (arkerlav@comcast.net) so that we can update our email records.
• Adults attending should be prepared to be actively engaged for the weekend. We especially need adults to serve as Small Group Facilitators – please sign up to serve!
