Senior High Ministry

There are three events geared towards Sr. High Youth in the Metro DC Synod:

• Chrysalis – annual synod wide weekend retreat. Held the first or second weekend in December at the 4H Center

The dates for Chrysalis 2008 are December 5- 7, 2008. Registration materials will be online here and sent to congregations in September.

• Chi Rho – annual week long service experience. We serve HOMES in Neon, Kentucy.
• Convo – youth portion of Metro DC’s synod assembly. This event is geared towards leadership development.
• LYO – LYO stands for Lutheran Youth Organization. If you are a youth and you are Lutheran then you are a member.
• National Youth Gathering – every three years the youth of the ELCA gather and the youth of Metro DC gather with them.
